    Endorse education in your state. By filling in your information, you express support for dating abuse education in your state. This is the first step in helping to garner support of legislators & eventually the passage of educational laws.

    Facebook /Twitter. Receive real-time posts about our organization, partners and the progress that is being made in communities across the country. Stay connected with friends, advocates and experts.

    Through social media (Facebook /Twitter), email, events or word-of-mouth, express the importance of this issue. Build support in your state.

  • Build Support

    Endorse education in your state by partnering with the state domestic violence organization and government offices. First, check to see whether your state is in the process of passing legislation.

    Contact your local newspaper. Talk to the health or education reporter and alert them of the recent statistics.

  • Start an email campaign by utilizing facts and informaton for our toolkit page.

  • Inform others of the work Coalition members are doing by creating an email signature that links to our website or social media pages. Instructions are provided on how to create this signature on Microsoft Outlook.

    After talking to your children, encourage other adults to start the conversation in their household; Recommend the Parent's Guide handbook.

  • Focus: Community

    Reach out to schools in your county or district; Download the Template Letter to Schools as well as the Love Is Not Abuse Curriculum.

  • Focus: Legislation

    Reach out to the Attorney General, Representative or Senator in your state; Download the Template Letters for Attorneys General and for Government Officials.

  • Teach

    Download the Curriculum. We offer two editions – a 4 lesson curriculum for high schools and a 3 lesson curriculum for colleges.

  • First Hand Example

    Distribute/Teach the Curriculum. Read about a local teaching event held in a New York City high school.

  • Become a Leader

    Adults can become State Action Leaders and join others who are creating change in their state. Teens and Young Adults can join the Task Force to encourage their schools to implement the curriculum. Email Love Is Not Abuse to tell us why you want to become a leader.

  • It's Time To Talk Day

    Participate in this annual event – a day dedicated to talking about dating abuse and domestic violence – by creating a local event of your own.

  • Create a Pledge

    Take our pledge, create your own and pass it on.

  • Add a Badge

    Show others that you support Love Is Not Abuse by posting a badge to your website. Simply copy and paste the code provided to display the badge on your website.
