Love Is Not Abuse and Seventeen Magazine are teaming up to invite teens and advocates everywhere to join a conversation with experts on #whatlovemeans in a series of live Twitter chats over the next four weeks.

For the next four Mondays (January 16 – February 6) from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. ET, we invite you to ask questions, engage with youth, share experiences and more, by tweeting to the hashtag #whatlovemeans.
One in three teens is a victim of dating abuse and many don’t recognize the often subtle and dangerous warning signs that they may be in an unhealthy or potentially dangerous relationship. Now, Love Is Not Abuse and Seventeen Magazine will join forces to speak with teens about what should and should not ever be tolerated in relationships with a one-of-a-kind live Twitter chat.
Joining is simple! Just log on to Twitter (www.twitter.com) on Mondays 1/16 – 2/6 from 4-5 p.m. Search for the hashtag #whatlovemeans to see who’s talking and include the hashtag with your own questions, suggestions and thoughts to join the conversation.
Don’t miss out on the chance to get involved! @SeventeenMag and @Love_IsNotAbuse will re-tweet your best answers and comments. Pick up this month’s copy of Seventeen Magazine to read a special article on What Love Means featuring Love Is Not Abuse.
Also, please visit us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/loveisnotabuse) and Twitter (@Love_isnotabuse) for more updates.
For your safety, be aware…
These Twitter chats are designed as an open forum for teens, advocates and experts to come together, ask questions and get answers about dating, relationships and #whatlovemeans. However, we ask for your own safety, that if you or someone you know is in a dangerous or unhealthy relationship, that you not disclose any personal or identifying information  during our Twitter chat that could put you at risk. If you are a teen who is currently in an abusive or unhealthy relationship, we encourage you to contact the National Dating Abuse Helpline, loveisrespect.org at 1- 866-331-9474. They provide 24/7 support for victims. If this is an emergency - you feel threatened or think you may be in a dangerous relationship - please contact a trusted adult and call 911.
